What is profile completeness?

In July 2021 we introduced 'profile completeness' to help nurseries ensure that all of the essentials are covered when setting up their daynurseries.co.uk profiles.  Obtaining the highest profile completeness % possible makes sure that your profile is visible and attractive to nursery seekers and gives you the best chance to receive more enquiries.

We have set up profile completeness in such a way that every profile on our website can reach at least 50%, and subscribers to Enhanced, Premium or Platinum packages can reach 100%. To find out more about our packages click here.

The profile completeness score will only be visible to you within your control panel, it will not be shared publicly on the website.

How do I get 100% profile completeness?

Your profile completeness is made up of 8 different data points, which if included on your profile, two attributes count for 20% and the rest 10% towards the total 100%.  1-4 below are available for every profile,  are 5-8 available to nurseries on our Enhanced, Premium and Platinum packages. 1. Base profile data + 25%

Base profile data consists of the minimum data required when setting up your daynurseries.co.uk profile. To fill in your base profile data in the control panel menu, first navigate to "Profile > Profile Details > (Nurseries if in a group profile) > Update Profile Details > Profile Base Data" and enter/update the following data:


Base profile data will show on your daynurseries.co.uk profile alongside the details about the service you provide.

2. Fees info + 25%

We are regularly told by parents and guardians that one of the most important information they are looking for on our site are indicative fees. Whether they can afford your prices  one of the most important considerations someone has to weigh up before making a decision.   To add your fees information in the Control Panel menu navigate to "Profile > Profile Details > (Day Nursery if in a group profile) > Update Profile Details > Fees Info"


This is how the fee information appears on the profile page.   You can leave a comment to give context to nursery seekers. 


3. Add a profile description (only available to Enhanced/Premium/Platinum Subscribers) + 10%

Adding a description is one of the most simple things you can do to set your nursery listing apart from others on daynurseries.co.uk.   The description allows you to describe in your own words what a day is like for a child in your care.  To find out how to add a description and how to write one that really sells your nursery read this article here.

4. Add 12+ photos (only available to Enhanced/Premium/Platinum Subscribers) + 10%

Photos are very important and very effective for differentiating your nursery profile.  We analysed our subscription base and found that nurseries with more than 12 high quality photos leads to better performance with more enquiries.  To find out how to add photos and what photos to add view this article.

5. Add at least one video to your profile (only available to Enhanced/Premium/Platinum Subscribers) + 10%

Videos give you an opportunity to show off your nursery's personality and meet you and your team before visiting your nursery.  On analysing our user base we can see that profiles with videos generate more enquiries.  The top performing 100 day nurseries that received the most enquiries featured more videos.  Also, a recent change in our profile design has made videos more visible to our users.   Videos do not have to be hi-fi, they can be shot on a smart phone.  You could shoot a quick tour of your nursery or a short interview with some of your staff members.  Read our full advice on how to add videos to your profile here.


6. Meet the Team Profiles (only available to Enhanced/Premium/Platinum Subscribers) + 10%

Team Member Profiles allow parents and guardians to virtually meet you and your team before sending an enquiry.  It gives them an insight into the type of experience they can expect.   To find out how to add a Meet the Team profile click here. 


7. Tour Availability (only available to Enhanced/Premium/Platinum Subscribers) + 10%

 We launched our tour booking feature in 2020, it’s been hugely popular due to its effectiveness of producing exceptionally warm enquiries.   It helps filter those parents and guardians who in a position choose child care right now.  We allow you to specify whether you offer onsite tours and/or remote tours.    For more information on how to switch on tours click here
