Article summary

Your daynurseries.co.uk profile is more than just a listing – it’s a useful marketing tool. A lot of work is put into our SEO, so when people search for childcare in their area, daynurseries.co.uk is usually the first organic (not an advert) result that comes up.

Even if you have a great website of your own, it’s always worthwhile to make the most out of your daynurseries.co.uk profile, as the website gets a lot of traffic from people using it to compare childcare providers.

Even on a basic subscription, there is plenty of information you can add to your profile to help you stand out and generate enquiries.

Information you can have on a basic profile includes:

  • Base data- this gives visitors to your profile quick, at-a-glance information they may be looking for about the childcare service you provide. Providing plenty of base data quickly gives visitors a rounded idea of whether your nursery suits their immediate needs and if they’d like to find out more. Base data can include:
    1. Ownership status
    2. Admission restrictions
    3. Languages spoken by staff
    4. Setting type
    5. Opening days and times, and if you are open all year
    6. Whether you provide full day care and/or sessional day care
    7. Whether the nursery is connected to a school or workplace
    8. Sure Start
    9. Number of child places and number of staff members
    10. Age-range of children
    11. Directions
    12. Visiting information
    13. Parking information
  • Fees info – this is optional, but including an idea of the fees you charge can be very reassuring for parents and guardians looking for childcare and make them more likely to submit an enquiry. You can also use the ‘Fee Comment’ box to add whether you accept any funding schemes. Since so few nurseries add fees information, it’s a great way to stand out and begin to build a trusting relationship with new parents and guardians.
  • Covid info – this feature was added to support childcare providers to keep parents and guardians updated on how they were managing the difficulties the pandemic presented. You could use this to give regular updates on Covid-19 policies and procedures, information about dropping off and collecting children in line with social distancing guidance, infection control and PPE. It’s a great way to reassure parents and guardians that you are doing everything you can to keep their children and your staff safe.

With a basic subscription, you can reach up to 50% profile completeness. If you’d like to add more to your profile, such as photos or virtual tours, speak to your account manager who will be happy to discuss upgrade options with you.
