Tours: Promoting onsite and remote tours

  • PDF

Article Summary

Welcome to the new Onsite Tour/Remote Tour menu. Tour bookings generate some our strongest leads. We have found that people that book tours are in need of childcare services right now and are more likely to convert.

What is it?

By turning on either Onsite Tour and/or Remote Tour you will enable a new button on your daynurseries.co.uk profile “Book a Tour” and a new Tour Menu

If someone is interested in taking an Onsite Tour or a Remote Tour they need to fill in the contact form and select a preferred date and time.

What is a Remote Tour?

We intended the Remote Tour option to be used to arrange a video call with parents. However, we give you the option to describe to the parents what to expect.

Preferred date and time

We ask for a preferred date and time to give you an idea of when the most convenient date and time to take a tour would be for the parents.

We state clearly to the parents that this date and time is not yet confirmed.  It will be up to the nursery to get in contact with the parents before the preferred date and time to confirm the booking information.

Options available to you

Within the Tour Availability menu we have built in some customisable options to make tour booking more simple for you.

  • Onsite Tour/Remote Tour   – Choose one or both

You have the option to turn on bookings for an Onsite Tour around your early years setting. You also have the option to host Remote Tours.

We give no guidelines on what should be included in a remote tour except that it should happen live, this is a great opportunity to book in an appointment to speak with parents that is possibly ready to apply for a place for their child.

  • Onsite Tour/Remote Tour Descriptions

Here, we give you the opportunity to write a description to give the parents an idea of what to expect from your setting on an Onsite Tour/Remote Tour. We know that early years settings can have different tour experiences, so the description gives you the chance to manage the parents’ expectations.

If you use certain technology (WhatsApp, Facebook, Zoom etc.) and not others, here would be a good place to enter that information.

  • Tour availability date and times

You are able to set which days and times you want to be available to select from your daynurseries.co.uk profile. At the moment this setting only allows you to set the days and then a blanket time period for those days.  We will add more options to the date and time availability over time based on your feedback.

Tip:  We recommend not being too constrictive with the days and times to begin with if you can. Remember, we state to parents that the date and time are preferred and not confirmed bookings.

Try starting with full availability to understand popular days and times for tours from parents’ booking behaviour to maximise your chances of getting tour bookings.
