Article Summary

Why should I add Meet the Team?

If you have an Enhanced, Premium or Platinum subscription on daynurseries.co.uk, you can add Meet the Team to your public profile. These can be greatly beneficial to show potential parents your team member’s credential and generate enquiries.

Potential parents know who to contact

You can add each staff member’s name, photograph and job title to your daynurseries.co.uk profile. Seeing exactly who will be looking after their child is so important for parents and can be a solid first step in the trusting relationship that they build with you.

You can expand each staff profile with more information about the team member and their role within the nursery. Showing what each of your team members is responsible for enables current or potential parents to know who to contact regarding their query, often generating a higher volume of queries. For example, a parent whose child has special educational needs will be reassured by knowing exactly who your nursery’s SENCO is, and that your nursery can accommodate and actively support their child.

Show that your nursery values its staff

Profiles show that your nursery values each of its staff. This can display a warm, family atmosphere which looks great to potential parents and potential employees. You may wish to write glowing staff profiles for all team members or ask them to write their own and let their personality shine through.

Display your team’s credentials

Each member of your team brings something unique to your nursery and staff profiles are a great way to show this off. Whether your team members have NVQs, degrees or extensive experience, detailing team members’ credentials shows potential parents that their child will be in the care of trained, qualified and experienced professionals.

What to include in a Meet the Team profile

For a good profile, you could include the team member’s:

  • Name
  • Title, such Mr or Mrs – this is a blank box so any titles are welcome
  • Gender
  • Job title
  • Year started at the nursery
  • Photo. Choose smiling, professional photos. If the staff member has a uniform, ensure they are wearing it in the photo.
  • A bio. This box is where you can introduce your staff member and explain what makes them great. You could write it for them in third person (she/he/they) or they could write it themselves using first-person tense (I, our, my). You can include:
    1. Their qualifications
    2. How many years of experience they’ve had in childcare
    3. Their career progression and proudest achievement in their current role
    4. What they love about their job

Example of a Meet the Team profile

Louisa Lawrence

Job Title: Nursery Assistant

Coming from a big family, I always knew I wanted to work with children. I completed my Level 2 NCF CACHE Diploma for Early Years Practitioner in 2019 and joined the Bubblegum Nursery team. I’m now studying for my Level 3 Diploma part-time, the manager has supported me so well to make this achievable. In my spare time I’m a keen artist and love being able to use my skills to help the children’s creative development.
