Covid-19: How to add Covid-19 information to your profile

Adding Covid-19 information to your daynurseries.co.uk profile is a great way to let parents know when your childcare setting is open and how your team are keeping children in your care safe.

Covid-19 information you could put on your profile includes:

  • Your opening hours and information about attending the nursery, such as staggered drop-off and pick-up times.
  • Tour availability for prospective parents.
  • Information about how you are handling infection control, such as your use of PPE, how you are ensuring children regularly wash their hands and how your staff are managing physical touch, such as cuddles, nappy changing and feeding.
  • If you are planning to teach children about coronavirus, and a contact for parents if they would rather their child did not take part.
  • If you have an Infection Control Lead, you could add their contact details or a link to their profile.
  • If you have written a Coronavirus Policy, or a page on your website specially for Covid-19 information, you can add a link to it on your daynurseries.co.uk profile.

Your latest Covid-19 information will be displayed as a banner on your profile. For information that you would like to be permanently visible, please submit it as a press release, or on another relevant section of your profile, such as visiting information or staff profiles.


How to add Covid-19 information to your profile

To update your Covid-19 information:

  1. Access your daynurseries.co.uk control panel.  Click the "Profile" menu on the left hand side and then select "Coronavirus (COVID-19) Information"
  2. Add your message and make sure to select the Yes option after ‘Publish’. 
  3. If you are adding a web link, paste the URL into the box provided. 
  4. Click Submit.

To update your tour availability:

  1. Access your daynurseries.co.uk Control Panel and using the left hand menu navigate to "Profile" then "Coronavirus (COVID-19) Information"
  2. Click the red Add button next to the name of your nursery or childcare setting. 
  3. A drop-down menu will pop up. Select the option you want. 
  4. As soon as you choose your option, a form will appear. The form differs depending on which option you choose. Fill details of this form and click red Submit button. 

Where will my Covid-19 information appear?

Your Covid-19 information will appear in a red banner on your childcare setting’s daynurseries.co.uk profile page. Only the latest message will appear, with the date of the update next to it.
