Funding & Fees: what's on your profile now
Who this is for: all nurseries with a daynurseries.co.uk profile, single member and group.
Your profile now shows a Funding & Fees section built from the details you've entered in the Portal. This replaces the old Fees Info section, which is no longer part of your profile.
What parents see
Parents visiting your profile now see:
- Two badges confirming whether you accept government funding and whether you accept Tax-Free Childcare
- A price estimate based on your fees
- A summary of what's included in that price, such as meals and consumables
The details behind this come entirely from what you enter under Funding & Fees in the Portal.
Why your Profile Completeness score may look different
This section is now part of your Profile Completeness score, making up 25% of the total. If you completed your Funding & Fees details in advance, you won't see any change. If you haven't yet, your score will reflect that, in the same way any other incomplete section always has.
What's required depends on where your nursery is based
The full detail of what's needed to mark this section complete differs depending on your nursery's location, because the funding schemes themselves differ by nation.

Why we ask about meals, consumables, and activities
Alongside your fees, we ask a few extra questions about what's included: whether you provide meals, whether you provide consumables like nappies and wipes, and whether you charge separately for activities. These feed into the "what this price covers" summary parents see, so the estimate reflects what's actually included, not just a bare number.
Anything the calculator can't capture
Some fee structures don't fit neatly into a standard calculation, deposits, sibling discounts, registration fees, and so on. There are two places to add this:
- The Additional fee information field, for anything you'd like to explain in your own words
- Your fee sheet, which you can upload directly, and which parents can view alongside the estimate
Both are optional, but worth using if your pricing has anything a straightforward calculation wouldn't show.
