Example of a great profile

Article Summary

A complete profile allows you to make the best of your daynurseries.co.uk profile and show parents seeking childcare what your setting has to offer.

Different subscriptions have different features, this example is for childcare settings which have an Enhanced, Premium or Platinum subscription.

This is a mock-up of a perfect profile using a fictional nursery and stock images.

Profile overview

When parents first visit your profile, they can see from the tabs that there is plenty of information about your setting to explore.

A complete profile makes for an engaging and informative look into what your nursery offers, giving a great first impression and inviting childcare seekers to make enquiries.

You can read more about profile completeness here.

Reviews

Reviews allow childcare seekers to hear real experiences of parents and guardians who have used your service.

Platinum subscribers can also access a widget; this allows you to put your reviews and review score on your own website so you benefit from your daynurseries.co.uk reviews twice.

You can read more about the reviews process and how they help here.

Description

The description is your chance to introduce your nursery and give an overview of the service you provide, in your own words.

It is essential that every profile has a unique description (not copied and pasted from your website or another of your day nursery profiles). This is because identical text is penalised in searches, and search engines will rank both pages it features on lower.

You can read more about our description rules and ideas of what to include in a description here.

Photos and PhotoStories

Photos are a great way to catch the childcare seeker’s attention and show them what your setting looks like. You may use stock images but it is inadvisable as these aren’t very informative for parents and will not give an accurate picture of what the nursery is really like.

You can find out what sort of photos we advise using to prompt enquiries here and how to add photos to your profile here.

Platinum subscribers can also use PhotoStories. This is when you can choose three of your favourite reviews and overlay them onto the photos on your profile Overview page. They will appear intermittently, so visitors to your page can still see the pictures.

You can find out more about PhotoStories here.

Videos

Videos are a great way to add more personality and information to your profile.

Enhanced and Premium subscribers can upload 1 video, while Platinum subscriber can upload up to 3.

There is guidance on how to upload a video to your profile here.

Tours

360˚ virtual tours enable parents to look around your nursery remotely. This feature is available on all subscriptions.

There is information on how to upload a 360˚ virtual tour here.

Meet the Team

Meet the Team is where you can introduce childcare seekers to your team with photos, job titles and a short bio. This helps parents to get to know your nursery further and put friendly faces to your service.

You can find guidance on creating Meet the Team profiles here.

News stories

Press releases are where you can tell visitors to your profile what has been going on in your nursery, or update them on any news. This is a lovely way for parents to stay up to date and shows childcare seekers the sort of activities and events their children might get involved in.

You can find out what your press release will look like here and see guidance on how to upload a press release and accompanying photo here.

Upcoming events

You can advertise upcoming events at your setting on your profile.

You can find out how to submit Upcoming Events here.

Awards

If you win an award from daynurseries.co.uk, you can add it as a daynurseries.co.uk award via your control panel.

Any other awards can be added as a ‘Third Party Award’ on your control panel.

Find out more about daynurseries.co.uk awards here.
